Curriculum

Our Learners work on their individual goals and specific needs. They can gain confidence and develop vocational, social, life and communication skills by taking part in ‘real-life’ activities.

Regent College offers you the following options:

A Foundation for Life and Living

Opportunities to learn and develop communication, social and independent life skills are in abundance at Regent College. Building friendships, growing relationships, being part of a local community and taking part in volunteering activities. You can also achieve as healthy a life as possible through a range of sport, healthy eating and health and wellbeing activities.

Preparation for Adulthood Study Programme

This study programme offers learners the opportunity to develop employability skills and prepare them for work, or volunteering, in sustainable ‘real-life’ settings. They can be based on one or more of the following areas:

  • Friends, Relationships and Community
  • Good Health
  • Independent Living
  • Employment

Employability Preparation and Development Programme

This study programme offers people with a learning disability, aged 16 – 24 years old, who have and Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), the opportunity to develop employability skills and prepare them for work or volunteering in ‘real-life’ settings.

Supported Internships

The emphasis of our internship courses is to work towards paid employment, offering learners the opportunity to get a practical work-based learning experience, with the support of a Job Coach.

A range of qualifications are on offer at Regent College, if appropriate, and include:
